Wildlife Fund

Our 'Wildlife Fund' is unique to The Vet Centre where a steady stream of sick or injured birds, hedgehogs and others are brought to the clinic by caring people for treatment.  They are cared for partly by the 'Wildlife Fund' and partly by the voluntary services of vets and nurses at The Vet Centre.

Our most common patients are are Harrier Hawks, Native Falcons, Wood Pigeons, Pukekos, Wild Ducks, Sea Birds, Owls, Tuis, and Hedgehogs. On our unusual list are an Australian Bittern and a Brown Fur Seal!

We Really Cover The Region!

We are in the Nelson North area every Tuesday.  We are available for home visits, cat and dog vaccinations, farm and livestock visits.  We can also deliver your animal health products.  All animals are catered for, and best of all, there is NO TRAVEL CHARGE!

Plus, every Thursday we have a  vet in the Tapawera area, catering to animal health requirements there.
